Janet Glenn Parris, age 51 of Weatherford, Texas died peacefully in her home Sunday November 27, 2016 surrounded by her family after a long and courageous fight with Breast Cancer.
She is survived by her parents, James and Dorothy Glenn, daughter Lauren Parris-Crawford and husband Rodney, son David Glenn, sister Barbara Glenn and grandchildren London and Major Crawford all of Weatherford.
Extended Family: James and Carmen Parris, Candice Parris, Stephanie and Mick Seebold, Lily Cloy, Jayden, Kinsley, Pryson and Christian Seebold, Rian Parris, J.C. Parris, Jack and Sheri Parris, John Parris, Niece and Nephews, Aunts; Laura Ferguson and June Butler and a host of cousins and loved ones.
Janet Lorraine Glenn Parris was born July 22, 1965 to James and Dorothy Glenn in Pasadena, Texas. At the age of 6 months old they moved back to their hometown of Weatherford where she resided the rest of her life. In 1983 she graduated Weatherford High School and attended Weatherford College. For the last 9 years she has been the Clinical Care Coordinator for MedPeds Medical office, in 2014 she was honored as an outstanding employee. She felt blessed and honored to work for and with Dr. Nusrat and Stephanie Khan. Janet loved her work at MedPeds and considered all the staff there to be part of her family. Their love and support will never be forgotten.
In 2013 she was honored by Solis Women’s Health for her work as an advocate for breast cancer patients, and received the “Hats Off to Heroes” award. Janet loved reading and great literature. She also loved music and for many years sang in public with her dad and sister. She loved to travel, but most of all loved spending time with her family and friends; especially her children and grandchildren. She cared deeply for others and those in need.
Her family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Khan and MedPeds Medical, Dr Robin Young, Dr Amy Gunter and all the physicians, nurses and staff at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Weahtherford. Shirley Smelley, Jennifer Staggs, special nurse Christie Owens and all the staff with Kindred at Home Hospice Care.
