Jay Gartman

Jay Gartman, 87, of Willow Park, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at his residence. Jay was born June 18, 1928 in Loving, Texas to Willie and Nannie Mae Gartman. He was the proud owner of Jay Gartman Roofing. He enjoyed building furniture, working outside and hosting an annual family reunion. Jay is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Allen Nicholas Fox. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Faye; daughters, Nora Foster and husband John of Fort Worth, Cindy Baldwin of Grapevine and Kim Johnson and husband JC of Fort Worth; son, Michael Jay Gartman and wife Aimee of Poolville; sister, Lois Stinnett of Fort Worth; brothers, Don Gartman of Abilene and Kenneth Gartman of San Angelo; grandchildren, Kayla, Barrett, Randi Kay, Justin Jay, Cutter and Taylor and one great grandson, Remington.


Funeral service: 1 p.m, Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 6-8 p.m, Monday at the funeral home.
