Jerry Don Greenway

  Jerry Don Greenway, age 77, departed from this life on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Jerry was born October 2, 1947, in Rotan, Texas, to Dewey Greenway and Gladys (Pettit) Greenway. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

  Throughout his life he developed many skills and was a jack of all trades. Professionally, Jerry worked in the oil and gas industry, where he worked for Halliburton Industries in the Research & Development Department, where he assembled the new downhole tools and took them to the field to test. He spent many days offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and at the Artic Circle making sure the new tools worked before released to customers, once leaving the oil field he worked as a parts picker for both Nokia and Motorola. Once retiring, he worked part time delivering the Weatherford Democrat paper and shoppers. Valuing his family history, Jerry enjoyed genealogy.

  Left to carry on Jerry's legacy is his wife of 46 years, Debbie Greenway of Weatherford, Texas; daughter and husband, Jennifer and Michael Gaither; daughter, Jamie Greenway; six adored grandchildren, Ty Greenway, Robert Greenway and wife, Shyanne, Dylan Choate, Kaylei Sullivan and husband, Jacob, Dakota Gaither, and Paisley Gaither; and four great-grandchildren, Lane, Dax, Nova, and Nataly; and his two sisters, Linda Whittle and Betty Wilson.

  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.

  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2025, at Greenwood Community Cemetery, in Greenwood, Parker County, Texas.

  He will be dearly missed and remembered fondly by his family and friends.
