Jerry Lee Cassels, 71, passed away on May 5, 2019 in Weatherford, Texas.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel beginning at 10:00 am.
Jerry was born on August 24, 1947 to the late Lois Pierce and Vernon Cassels in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He proudly served his country by serving in the Army during the Vietnam War. Jerry retired from Southwest Ford after 26 years as Parts Manager. He spent a lot of his time fishing, wood working, and restoring cars, especially mustangs. Jerry raised Doberman’s for many years, including Jack, who immediately became his best friend. Above all, Jerry loved watching and coaching his daughter and granddaughter in softball and spending all the time he could with his children and wife.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Cassels; brother and sister in law, Russ and Judy Cassels; and man’s best friend, Jack, who is waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Cheryl Gough Cassels; daughters, Chessa Cassels and Vanessa Cludius; brothers, Gene Cassels (Glenda) and Scott Cassels (Lorrie); grandchildren, Kaleb Cludius and Kayleigh Cassels; and numerous nieces and nephews.
