Jeweldene H. Monroe

Jeweldene H. Monroe was born October, 29th, 1936 in Pine Creek, Virginia to Myrtle and Jack Hawkins. She passed away November 5th, 2013 at Weatherford, Texas at the age of 77 years. Jeweldene and Willie Ray Hinson were married on November 25th, 1953 in Wilkesboro, N.C. They had four children. She and Bobby Joe Monroe were married on February 14th, 1980 in Weatherford, TX. Jeweldene worked many years at LVT Aerospace Corporation, Vought Systems Division, as an assembly woman and a Quality Control Inspector, where she won multiple Performance Improvement awards for suggestions she made that were implemented. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing and gardening. She and husband Bobby, later retired to the ranch in Eastland Texas where they raised cattle and traveled. Jeweldene was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Willy Ray Hinson, son William (Bill) Ray Hinson, brother Gary Hawkins, and grandson Warren Odom.
Jeweldene was survived by her husband, Bobby Joe Monroe, three daughters, Sharron Sparrow, Sisters, OR; Kelly Holbrook, Arlington TX, Susan Herdecker, the Colony, TX; two stepdaughters, Kathy and husband Ron Jordan, Abilene, TX, Debi and husband John Mayes, Cedar Hill, TX; and Ron and wife Charlene Monroe, Arlington, TX; two brothers, Don Hawkins, Whitewright, TX; Leon Hawkins, Hot Springs, AR; fourteen grandchildren, Jason Newton; Clayton Willie Ray Holbrook; Sarah Holbrook; Stevie Moore, Mikayla Herdecker, Cliff Odom, Bryan Odom, Tim Whitley, Megan Fritz, Ron Monroe II, Kevin Monroe, Sean Monroe, , Jennifer Garrett, and Wendy Griffin; many great and great-great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Jeweldene was a strong, determined woman, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend who was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
The Celebration of Jeweldene’s life will be held at 6:00 pm, Saturday, November 16th,  2013, in the clubhouse at Los Robles Mobile Home Park, 2301 Ballpark Way, Arlington, TX. 76006.
