Jim (Abe) Ellis

Jim (Abe) Ellis, age 77, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, May 18, 2013 at his residence in Weatherford after a short bout with Cancer.  He was born April 8, 1936 in California.  Mr. Ellis was lovingly known as Abe Lincoln. He had an uncanny resemblance to Abe Lincoln. He competed in look-alike contest all over Texas.  One of Abe’s greatest loves was his old fire engine that he drove in many parades.
Survivors: Wife of 48 years, Donna Ellis of Weatherford; children, Jeff L. Ellis Chartney Sr. and spouse, Rosemary, Lori Eddy and spouse, Jimmy, Cristi Berry and Mike Ellis and spouse, Kari; sister, Ruth Peters; aunt, Geneva Williams; grandchildren, Jeffrey L Chartney Jr, Stephanie Kinneberg, Joshua Massingale, Vanessa Wesley, Melissa Chartney Cox, Max Massingale, Ashley Ellis Beaird, Kelley Massingale, Shane Ellis, Jordan Berry, Christopher Taylor, Aaron Fortin and Landon Fortin; thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral: 10:00 am Tuesday, May 21, 2013
at Galbreath Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation: Monday evening from 6-8
p.m. at the funeral home. Interment: Greenwood Community Cemetery.
