Jim David Rice

Jim David Rice, age 24, of Weatherford, died from a car accident on Sunday, June 10, 2012.

Jim was born July 11, 1987 in Weatherford. He grew up and attended Millsap Schools eventually moving to Weatherford, where he attended High School and gained his GED and attended Weatherford College with thoughts of being a P.E. teacher. Jim was employed by Busy Bee Mowing Service where Jim appreciated being outdoors and not confined to a desk job.

Jim enjoyed spending time with family and his daughter was the light of his life. He was a gifted musician that could play just about anything on the guitar. Music was a passion of his and it showed when he played.

Jim David was preceded in death by his father, Barry Glen Rice; paternal grandparents, Garland and Zelma Rice; maternal grandparents, Allison Carrol (A.C.) and Roberta Stults.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Morgan MacLeod, and their 2 year old daughter, Acadia Evelyn Rice; mother, Juanita Rice; sister, Jana Rice Robertson; brothers, Jon Rice and wife Carole, Randall Rice and wife Misty; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday July 21, 2012 at 10am in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel at 913 N Elm St in Weatherford.  

A celebration of life luncheon will be held afterwards, the destination pending and will be announced at service.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in his memory for his daughter, Acadia Evelyn Rice at Chase Bank.
