Jimmy Don Carpenter

Jimmy Don Carpenter was born May 9, 1944 and raised in the Shep community in southwest Taylor County.  He graduated Texas Tech University and served in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant including a tour of duty in Viet Nam.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Kathi Carpenter; son, Jason Williams and wife, Angie; grandchildren, Katelyn Danae and Braden Joe of Central Community and a sister, Nora Carpenter of Coleman.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in Central Community Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to; Central Community VFD, Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, or Ronald McDonald House in Fort Worth.
