Jo Evon Thorp

Jo Evon Thorp, 89, of Granbury, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 8, 2021. Jo was born October 25, 1932, in Myrtle Springs, Texas, to Earnl and Ira D. Mann.

A visitation is scheduled Friday, November 12, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in State Room A. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. The Graveside will be held Monday, November 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., in Memory Gardens.

Jo was a very hard working woman all of her life, with numerous trades under her belt. She owned Jo Heine Daycare, she was a Realtor, a Banker at First National Bank, and also worked at Mann’s Nursery & Greenhouse. When Jo wasn’t working she was devoted to being a caring wife, mother, and lover of Christ. She attended North Main Church of God in Weatherford, Texas.

Jo is preceded in death by sons, Steven and Bubba. She leaves behind her loving children, Scott Heine (Diane) and Larry Heine (Joan); 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Jo was a one of a kind woman, who’s caring and loving nature made the lives of those around her better. She will be greatly missed by the many, many people who love her.
