Joe Everett Harwell

Joe Everett Harwell, 76, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Plaza Medical Center.   Joe was born February 19, 1939 in Electra, TX to Ottis Harwell and Estelle Parks Harwell. He was a gifted mechanic and retired from Lockheed Martin in 2006.  Prior to that, Joe was a Helicopter Lead Mechanic at Southern Airways. He was a lifelong resident of the Adell Community and was a member of Adell Community Fellowship. Joe was a hardworking rancher and farmer, a man of few words that set the bar high for his family. Joe was a strong willed man, yet had a sense of humor that was shown every time he told his life stories.  A family man, Joe was loved and admired by all he came in contact with. He was preceded in death by his parents O.E. (Buck) and Estelle Parks Harwell.  Joe is survived by his Wife, Cathey Harwell of Weatherford, daughter, Judy Harwell Kring of Weatherford; sons, Joel Harwell and wife Debbie of Granbury and Joe Wayne Harwell and wife Heather of  Culpeper, Virginia; step children Dee Ann Sikes and husband Dale of Euless, Carrie Wiley of Weatherford and  Clint Wiley and wife Claire of Nashville; brother, Jud Harwell of Weatherford; grandchildren, Kaleb Brewer and wife Rachael, Jolynn Harwell, Jacob Harwell and wife McKenna, Dylan Kring, Barret Kring, Hunter Harwell, Abigael Harwell, Lauren Harwell, Claire Harwell, Brittany Sikes and Brailee Sikes; great grandchildren, Jack, Lily, Sam, Henry, Caroline Brewer and Brynlee Kring.




Funeral service: 1:00 PM. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Adell Community Fellowship with Bro. Mike Wiley officiating.
Visitation: 6-8 PM, Wednesday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
