Joe Robinson passed from this life too soon at the age of 21, in Fort Hood, Texas Feb. 9, 2012.
Joe (Joe-Joe) was born July 22, 1990 in Bedford, Texas. He and his family moved later and settled in Mineral Wells, Texas. Joe attended school there and soon graduated from Mineral Wells High School in June 2008. By July of that year he was enlisted in the United States Army. He left shortly after that to be stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. He served 14 months in Iraq for our country. Joe served four years in the Army and this summer he planned to attend college in Oklahoma. Joe enjoyed listening to his music (really loudly), fishing, and hunting. And he cherished his time with his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone he touched in his short life time. Joe’s beautiful smile and laughter, and the vibrant personality will be missed but never forgotten.
Joe is survived by his father and mother, Chris and Erin Satterly; two brothers, David Rutledge and Lane Rutledge of Weatherford, Texas; grandparents, Joe and Mary Robinson of Alvin, Texas and Jacky and Zonetta Rutledge of Decatur, Texas; uncle and aunt, Greg and April Lybyer and cousins, Gregory and Justin of Alvin, Texas; uncle and aunt, Scott and Rebecca Robinson and cousin, Blane of Alvin, Texas and numerous other aunts and uncles and many, many cousins.
Services will be held Friday at 12:00 PM in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation is from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 3 PM in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
