Joe Jungman, 81, of Weatherford, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006, in the local hospital.

Interment: 3:30 p.m., Rhineland Cemetery, Rhineland Texas
Rosary: 7:00 p.m., Friday, Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel
Joe was born June 17, 1925, in Rhineland, Texas, to Walter A. and Annie Zimmer Jungman. On November 5, 1947, he married Margaret Holub in Bomarton, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from March 1944 to August 1945. Joe was a member of Knights of Columbus for over 60 years, a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Weatherford and a member of the SPJST.
Joe was a farmer, past employee of General Dynamics, Manor Bread, Dr. Pepper, Snap on Tools and owner and operator of Dairy Mart Drive In. He retired from Amtrak after 20 years of service. Joe loved taking pictures, collecting postcards, riding the train, fixing things, woodworking, working in the yard and Polka dancing. His favorite place he visited was Montreal Canada.
Mr. Jungman was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Annie, and infant brother, Henry Jungman.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret Jungman of Weatherford; daughters, Debbie Pitts and husband, Michael of King Wood, Texas, Yvette Whatley of Glen Rose, Texas, Karen Davenport and husband, Stacy of Glenn Rose, Texas, and Sharon Mitchell and husband, Gary of Weatherford; sons, Victor Jungman of Weatherford and Darrell Jungman and wife, Sharon of Ovilla, Texas; 18 grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Chris, Marc, Stephanie, Eric, Catherine, Elizabeth, Tyler, Cody, Hunter, Logan, Jennifer, Michael, Keith, Dylan, Natalie and Jonathan; and six great grandchildren.
