Joe Terry Swaim

Joe Terry Swaim, 81, of Weatherford, passed away on January 28, 2019 in Fort Worth, TX from complications of Pneumonia with his wife Rosemarie by his side.
A memorial service will be held at North Side Baptist Church on Saturday, February 2, 2019 beginning at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow, information will be provided after the service.
Joe Terry was born on January 31, 1937 in Winston-Salem, NC to Farris and Ella Swaim. He grew up in North Carolina. Joe Terry graduated from North Carolina State with honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1959. He continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania earning a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1965. Joe Terry spent his career in New Jersey, Virginia and Texas before retiring in 1996. He retired as Sr. Vice President Switched Services Engineering for MCI. He was a lifelong member of the NRA. The last fourteen years, Joe Terry spent his time farming and ranching with his wife in Leesburg Virginia and Weatherford, Texas. he was an avid golfer and sailor. He travelled extensively for work and recreation.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Farris and Ella of Winston-Salem, NC and children, Jennifer Swaim and Kevin Swaim.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemarie Swaim and grandchildren, Tyler Swaim and Connor Swaim.
