Joel Lynn Goebel

Joel Lynn Goebel, 68, of Dennis, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in a Fort Worth hospital.  Joel was born September 29, 1946 in Grand Saline, Texas to Henry and Thelma Goebel. He retired from Lockheed Martin as an aircraft mechanic. Joel joined the US Navy and proudly served his country. He loved riding his tractor and spending time with his grandchildren and three foster children. Joel was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lavell Hallinquist and a brother, Tilmon Goebel. Survivors: Wife of 44 years, Linda; daughter, Rebecca Goebel of Dennis; Ron Goebel and wife Laura of Graford; grandchildren, Royce, James, Ryan, Mykayla and Rosemarie; three foster babies; sisters, Luettie Golden and husband Curtis of Myrtle Springs, Patricia Presidge of Whitehouse, Anita Goebel and Pat of Garland, Debra Brooks of Celeste, Jeanne Howe and husband Lee of Winsboro and Barbara Rhodes and husband Buddy of Mineola; brothers, Arvis Goebel and wife Henrietta of Cosby and Paul David Goebel and wife Debra of Grand Saline; brother in law, Olan Hallinquist of Quitman; sister in law, Judy Goebel of Golden; many nieces and nephews and friends.

Memorial service: 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Dennis Baptist Church.
