John David Gilley, 71, of Weatherford, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 in a local nursing facility. David was born August 17, 1943 in Fort Worth, Texas. He worked for Keener’s Auto Supply and Ash Creek Auto Parts in Azle for over 30 years. He was a life member of the Azle Optimist Club and helped Robert Landers in the opening of Cross Timbers Golf Course. Survivors: wife of 18 years, Alicia; sons, Lonnie Gilley and wife Sherrilan of Fort Worth and Larry Gilley and wife Nicole of Southlake; step children, Johanna Barnes of Boyd, Kayce Barnes of Weatherford and Trayce Sciba of Granbury; siblings, Juanita Coffee of Springtown, James Gilley of Azle, Ronnie Gilley of Azle and Darlene Bernard of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Trevor Gilley, Brett Gilley and Ariana Gilley; step grandchildren, Kyle and Tyler French, Angelica and Blythe Baggett and Garrett Aaron; great granddaughter, Kimberly Barnes.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
