John Hardy Conner

John Hardy Conner, 59, passed from this life on Saturday, November 12, 2022. John was born on February 20, 1963, in Sweetwater, Texas to John Wayne Conner and Hattie Bell (Carey) Conner. He made his livelihood as a truck driver and diesel mechanic, and was a dedicated provider. John gave everything of himself and asked for nothing in return. He loved his family and enjoyed taking care of his animals and livestock.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy Ann Conner of Weatherford, Texas; children, Ashlie (Caleb) Johnson and Kindle (Jesse) Herringer, all of Weatherford; mother, Hattie Turner of Santo, Texas; siblings, Carolyn Wesley, Cloriece Williams, and Eris Conner, all of Santo; and four grandchildren, Riley Johnson, Arianna Herringer, Levi Johnson, and Haley Herringer. All of these he loved and touched deeply.

John was preceded in death by his father, John W. Conner.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Authon Cemetery for a committal service.

The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the funeral chapel.
