John Howard Coble

John Howard Coble, 84, of Jacksboro, passed away late on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Greystone Assisted Living in Jacksboro.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2018, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street in Weatherford. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home, followed by burial at Dilbeck Cemetery in Peaster.

John was born on April 21, 1933, in Adell, Texas to Lee Roy and Gainy Coble. He married Peggy Joyce Bruton and together had two sons, Mark and Michael. John was a long-time member of the Whitt Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed working and traveling and later he enjoyed spending time on his farm and with his tractors. Most of all, John loved spending time with his family.

John is survived by his wife, Peggy Joyce; son, Mark; granddaughter, Ryane (Dustin) Burk; his great-grandchildren, Harper, Wyatt, and Hudson Burk; and by his sister, Betty Stout.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Michael.
