John Ralph Snyder

John Ralph Snyder, 78, of Weatherford died Monday morning at his residence. Born February 5, 1931 in Purmela, Texas to Cecil and Velma White Snyder. John was a retired truck driver and truck driving instructor, US Navy veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a Baptist, loved woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren. John is survived by his wife Gloria Ann Snyder of Weatherford; daughters, Karen Moore and husband John of Carrolton, GA, Melanie Fox and husband Derick of Weatherford and Sandy Snyder of Dallas; sons, Bryan Sims and wife Myra of Peaster, Wesley Sims and wife Keela of Weatherford and James Snyder; brother Kermit Snyder of Waco; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with Lynn Crosslin officiating. The Snyder family wishes to thank Dr. Jason Ledbetter and Vitas Hospice for all their care and support during John’s time in their care.
