John Randy Woods

John Randall “Randy” Woods, 55, of Weatherford, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Weatherford Regional Medical Center in Weatherford, Texas.
Randy was born on April 21, 1960, in Weatherford.  He was one of three children born to John Thomas, Jr. and Mary Woods.   Randy married Becky Meek and together had three children. He enjoyed out-door activities including hunting, fishing, and camping.  Randy coached ‘Pee Wee’ football in Weatherford for many years.  He was affectionately known as “Big John’ by his co-workers.  Most of all, Randy was a ‘family man’ who cherished time spent with his family – particularly his grandchildren.  
Randy is survived by his wife, Becky; children, Chuck (Amy) Brown, Mindy (Anthony) Wells, and John Thomas Woods, IV (Samantha) ; grandchildren, IceLynn, Dayton, and Pacey Brown, Kravyn Spradlin, Ethan Brown, and McCenzie Wells, Macy Wells, and Cooper Thomas Woods; sisters, Cathy (Jim) McGuffee and Kristy (Jeff) Findlay;  nephew, Mason Owen;  his parents-in-law, Eva and Wayne Meek; and by his brother-in-law, Danny (Glenda) Meek.    
Randy was preceded in death by his parents.


Gaveside committal service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00, Thursday, March 31, at Dilbeck Cemetery in Peaster.
 Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, from 5:00 until 8:00, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford.
