John Stanley Poynor

John Stanley Poynor, age 68, of Weatherford, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in a Fort Worth Hospital.  Born July 27, 1943 in Millsap, Texas, a resident of Weatherford and Parker County all his life.  Stanley’s strong work ethics began at a young age working with Noel Bryant, Wrens Pharmacy and Justin Industries, he owned several medical companies. He was an honor graduate from Texas Weslyan, and a member of the Church of Christ. In retirement he spent time with family, friends and his four grandchildren who were the joy of his life. He touched many lives with compassion and unconditional love.  He was preceded in death by his Mother, Opal King; sister, Wanda Doane; brother and sister-in-law Sammie and Ann Poynor; brothers, Kenny Poynor and Steven King. Survivors: wife, Nona Poynor, of Weatherford; daughters, Kelli Edwards and husband, Tim of Colleyville, Amy Poynor of Weatherford and Lori Whitsett of Colleyville; sisters, Kathleen Eaheart of Plano, Modena King of Granbury and Mary Sears of Poolville; four grandchildren, Emily Edwards, Luke Edwards, Sophia Whitsett and Gray Whitsett.

Funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the
North Side Baptist Church with interment will be in the Poe Prairie
Cemetery.
