Johnny Loyd Cupit

Johnny Loyd Cupit passed away Monday June 23, 2014.  Born February 10, 1943 in Fort Worth to John “Loyd” and Juanita Cupit; Johnny was an only child.  Johnny obtained his Masters Degree in Health Science and worked in hospital administration for Sterling Health Care.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  Johnny was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan; through thick or thin.  There was no talking, no calling Johnny when the Cowboys played.  Friends at church spent six months trying to get Johnny to meet Marlene Wasden; as fate would allow, they bumped into each other walking into church one day.  They had lunch that afternoon and the next day Johnny asked if they could date exclusively.  They married May 1, 1986.  When the grandkids began calling Marlene “Nana”; they asked Johnny what they should call him and he replied “Ba”. 
Johnny leaves behind his loving wife Marlene; daughters Michelle Apperson, and Dr. Kristi Martin; sons Todd Cupit and wife Audra, Kurt Koenig and wife Kathy; grandchildren Nick Apperson, Brittany Apperson, Tyler Cupit, Trenton Cupit, Riley Hubert, Cabe Cupit, Asa Cupit, Stephanie Koenig, Chelsea Koenig, Rachel Haley and husband Peyton, David Martin and wife Amy; great grandchildren Madison, Adilyn, and Brayden; and mother Juanita Cupit.  Johnny was preceded in death by his father Loyd Cupit, and son in-laws Lewis Apperson and David Martin.

A visitation will be Thursday June 26, 2014 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be Friday June 27, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Central Cemetery in Weatherford TX.
