Jose Jeronimo Alvarado

Jose Jeronimo Alvarado passed away peacefully from this life on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at age 70. He was preceded in death by his parents, to whom he was born March 24, 1953, in Guadalupe Victoria, Durango, Mexico.

Jose was a devoted husband of 33 years to Consuelo Salas of Weatherford, Texas; proud father to four children, Jasmine Weber (Matthew Weber), Lenin Santuario, Jahiro Santuario, and Kimberly Alvarado (Martin Hernandez) and to his beloved fur baby, Chikis Alvarado; adoring grandfather to six grandchildren whom he doubly loved, Susset Gamez, Charlie Gamez, Zoey Medina, Abby Santuario, Alvaro Hernandez, and Mateo Hernandez. He is also survived by his brother, Gilberto Alvarado Torres (Irene Piedra).

Jose was a man of strong Catholic faith, a silent warrior and survivor who loved his family, and his wife most of all. He was a hard-working husband who enjoyed staying active and believed in living a life of service to others. Jose will be remembered for his loyalty and kindheartedness; he was soft spoken but always remained joyful and present. He was loved by the community and his family, and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 1st, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St, Weatherford, Texas 76086.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Rd, in Weatherford, Texas, on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Father Luca Wilson & Deacon Mauricio Hernandez. Burial at Annetta Cemetery, Weatherford, Texas.
