Joseph Allen Goettel

Joseph Allen Goettel passed away in his mother’s home on Thursday, July 23, 2020, in Weatherford, Texas. He was 52 years old.

Joey was born on September 27, 1967 in Millington, Tennessee to Phil and Susan Goettel. In 1970, his younger brother Brian was born. After graduating from high school in 1987, he received his Associates Degree from TCJC in Airframe Design and Electronics in 1992. He married Margaret Kite on April 10, 1993 at their home in Millsap, Texas. On October 12, 1993, Joey and Margaret had their first child, Kelly. They moved to Weatherford, Texas in August 1998, after their second child, Kevin, was born. Joey enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, having cookouts, camping, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends.

Joey’s father Phil and his brother Brian preceded him in death.

Joey is survived by his mother, Susan Marshall; his ex-wife, and mother of his children, Margaret Goettel; daughter and son, Kelly and Kevin Goettel; girlfriend, Virginia Gonzales; and by many family members and friends in Texas and Kansas. He was loved and will be missed.

Joseph is to be cremated as per his own and his family’s wishes.
