Joshua Steven Carson

  Josh passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the age of 39 while at home with family after a hard-fought battle against brain cancer. Josh was raised and grew up in Ventura County, California where he formed true and lasting bonds with family, friends and coworkers. Josh was a proud graduate and former football player of Thousand Oaks High School.

  Josh was a long-time employee of The Home Depot where he grew and thrived professionally. He not only took great pride in his work but, he also genuinely enjoyed it and the people he worked with.

  However, his greatest pride and joy was his son Cooper, born to him and his wife Addisen in 2021. Josh was a loving, devoted and fun father to Cooper. Although their years together were cut short, he will always be remembered as the best father through pictures, videos, and shared memories.

  Josh was a quiet presence until you got to know him. Those that knew him got to see his silly side and hear his amazing laugh. He loved spending time off BBQing with family, taking trips, having a beer and conversation with friends, and playing a video game now and then. He treasured the relationships he had with people and loved recounting stories of the memories he made with them. 

  Josh is deeply missed, but will always remain loved.

  Josh’s memorial will be held April 5, 2024, at Hollow Hill Event Center, 1680 Mary Drive, Weatherford, Texas 76085, at 3:00 p.m. Appetizers and drinks to follow until 6:00 p.m.
