Joshua Daniel King

  Joshua Daniel King, 37, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away on April 5th, 2025, at home with loved ones by his side.

  Josh was born on December 29, 1987, in Fort Worth, Texas. He grew up in Weatherford, attended school at Trinity Christian Academy, and college at Dallas Baptist University where he played tennis while obtaining a degree in Business and then went on to get his MBA. He married the love of his life, Sarah Renfro King in March of 2020 and added the title of “dad” to his accolades with the birth of his daughter, Katelyn, in July of 2024.

  Josh was best known for his unwavering faith in God, his deep love for not just his family, but of all people in his life, his life-long loyalty to the Texas Rangers, and his passion for fishing.

  Josh is survived by his wife, Sarah; his daughter, Katelyn; his parents, Phil and Terry King; grandmother, Barbara King; sisters, Kristy Moseley (husband Ric, children Andrew, Claire, and Avery), Sarah Holt (husband Jacob, children Isaiah, Melody, Josh, Caleb, Abby, Joy, and Sunny), Hannah Jones (husband Daniel, children Peyton, Molly Kate, Georgia, and Barrett), Mary Haye (husband Austin, children Jack, Scarlett, and Wesley), and Leah King. He is also survived by many extended family members including the Renfro family.

  Josh was preceded in death by grandparents, Earl King and Jack and Hertha Herweg; his uncles, Lee Hough and Doug King; and his father-in-law, Mark Renfro.

  A celebration of life will be held on April 11th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Christ Chapel Bible Church West Campus, in Willow Park, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace House Ministries or to Christ Chapel Bible Church.

  The family would like to express their gratitude to the Cultivate Men’s Bible Study group for loving him so well, Josh’s medical team for managing his care, and to Jennifer, Jamie, and Johnna at Beyond Faith Hospice.

  The family has been deeply encouraged by Josh’s unwavering faith during his heroic battle with brain cancer. Josh often reminded those around him of the following, “God is not failing us. He is fulfilling His promises to us.”
