Juanita Violet Gardner

Juanita Violet Gardner, 91, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, October 17, 2022, surrounded by her family. Juanita was born March 12, 1931, to Thomas Barker and Tressie (Roe) Barker. She graduated with an associate's degree and worked for General Dynamics before becoming a homemaker. Juanita was a longtime member of South Main Church of Christ in Weatherford. She was known for the love she put into her cooking and delighted in caring for others. Juanita was a talented painter in her earlier years, enjoyed reading, and adored her ghost stories. She cherished family events and being surrounded by her loved ones.

Juanita is survived by her son, Kevin Gardner of Weatherford, Texas; siblings, Thelma Messimer, JoAnn Edwards, and George Barker; grandchildren, Alexis Gardner and Ashton Gardner; and numerous loving family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086, officiated by Rev. Michael Lum. Burial will follow at Hoggard-Reynolds Cemetery, in Azle.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford.
