Judith C. Sanchez

FRISCO – Judith C. Sanchez, 78, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, January 7, 2021.

SERVICE: A Solemn Pontifical Requiem High Mass celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 11, 2021, at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, Fort Worth, Texas. In addition, services will be live streamed, via Facebook.
Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, 4201 Mitchell Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76119.

Judith Claire Staub was born March 2, 1942, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Lula Harriet and Henry John Staub. She married John G. Sanchez Jr. on December 9, 1967, and had two children. Judy was a long-time member of St. Timothy’s in Ft. Worth.

Judith was a proud graduate of Texas Christian University School of Nursing in 1984. She worked at Harris Methodist Hospital as a surgical staff nurse, until her retirement in 2004. Judy loved her family, being in the outdoors, camping in Big Bend National park, the color green, trees, trains, gardening and entertaining family and friends. She was an avid weather enthusiast, watching local weather reports every night and when bad weather approached, would always call family to inform them of the latest climatic conditions. Judy loved her children and cherished her four grandchildren; they called her Nana.

Judith was preceded in death by her husband, John. We are comforted by their joyful, heavenly union after 51 years of marriage.

SURVIVORS: Judith is survived by her children, Judith Marie and her husband, Sam Hightower, and Eric Danemon and his wife, Stacey Sanchez; her grandchildren, Olivia Marie Hightower, Audrey Grace Hightower, Braxton Lawrence Sanchez, Charlotte Rae Sanchez, and by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
