Julia Baker, 74, of Aledo, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012, in a Fort Worth hospital. Julia was born August 10, 1938, in Fort Worth, to Sena Mae and Marvin Eugene Livesay. Julia was a teacher at Nolan, Eastern Hills and Western Hills schools in Fort Worth for eighteen years. She also taught public education in evenings in Weatherford. She was a partner and CEO of DGB Glass. She enjoyed playing cards with the Keno Group and travel with friends.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Daniel Baker; son, Bradley Glenn Baker of Peaster; daughters, Glenda Rickman and husband, Fred, of Joshua, Joy Stern and husband, Carl, of South Carolina and Rhonda Thompson and husband, Jim, of Bluefield, West Virginia; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Bledsoe, of Weatherford; six grandchildren, Alex and Deuce Baker, Shawn Brown, Katherine Harmon, Brady Hudson and Nathan Thompson; nine great grandchildren; and four brothers, Eugene Livesay of Fort Worth, Jess Livesay of Arlington, Bill Livesay of Georgia, and James Livesay of Arlington.
Funeral: 2 PM, Saturday at Aledo Methodist Church. Visitation is from 6 to 8 PM Friday
at the funeral home. Burial will be in Annette Cemetery. Memorials: Brite Divinity School, TCU Alumni or Parker County Committee on Aging.
