Kenarth Donald Toleikis

February 19, 1941 — September 27, 2019

Kenarth Donald Toleikis, 78, passed away on September 27, 2019 with his loving family by his side.
Kenarth was born on February 19, 1941 in Michigan. After high school, he joined the Army and was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division. He then became a Police Officer in Wyandotte, Michigan, where he retired after 26 years of service. On June 4, 1988 he married the love of his life, Joyce Marie LaBeau Toleikis and together they made a blended family. Kenarth had a true knack for woodworking and was always working on different projects. Today, he is remembered every time someone kneels in front of the big cross he built at the Messiah Lutheran Church. Ken spent a lot of time at the VFW with his friends, but when he wasn’t there, he could be found sharing his love for Christ with his granddaughter, Hannah Christian. They were the best of friends and their bond was deep rooted in their faith. He loved spending quality time with his family and loved celebrating the holidays. Christmas was his favorite time of the year.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Joyce; daughters, Heather Dezomits, Toni Dezomits, and Julie Hadley; sons, John Toleikis and Robert Dezomits; and eight grandchildren.
