Ken was born May 14, 1932 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was one of four children born to Fred and Goldie Davis. He married the love of his life, Janice Farris, shortly before serving as a Ballistic Meteorologist in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He returned home and started his family of three children. In 1964, Ken moved his family from Fort Worth to Springtown. He was a long time member, deacon, elder, and served on many boards at Central Christian Church, Weatherford. He served on the Chamber of Commerce and was active in the community. Ken retired from Ford Motor Co, and began to chase his dreams. Due to his love for good food, he and Janice opened "Fence Post BBQ," in Springtown. Ken was not easily satisfied. He closed the restaurant, put up his life savings, and purchased a Chrysler, Dodge dealership in Weatherford, Texas, " Ken Davis Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge." The thriving dealership was sold 10 years later due to a diagnosis of lymphoma. Ken beat the cancer...... You can't keep a good man down. Going back to his love of food, he opened several Taco Casas', which he still owned until his death. He loved music, played and sang in a band in his younger years, played golf with his sons, and grandsons. He also had a love for cattle, running two ranches, JKD Angus Farm, and Star Ranch, through his 83 years of life. Most of all, Ken was a family man. He cherished every opportunity, never missing a school event.
