Kermit (Dick) Hess

Kermit (Dick) Hess, 94, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 10, 2018. Graveside service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Millsap. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Friday evening at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Dick was born December 29, 1923 in Lebanon, Virginia to James Thurman and Rachel Jane Stevens Hess. He married Doris Ruth Reasoner Jones on February 24, 1958. They were married 52 years prior to her death. In addition to his wife, Ruth, Dick was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings, his son Kenneth Hess and his stepson Ronald Jones.
He leaves behind his granddaughter, Karey Hess of Portland, Oregon; step-daughter, Sandra Maddux and husband Alton; grandsons, Mark and Steven Maddux all of Millsap; great grandsons, Justin Maddux of Plano and Ridge Maddux of Mineral Wells and one great great granddaughter, Lilly Rae.
