Lana Jean Uhles

On Tuesday, October 18th, 2022, Lana Uhles, 74, went to her heavenly home. Lana was born in Tulare, California, August 10, 1948, to Mose Maggard and Mae (Taylor) Maggard. She lived in Mineral Wells, Texas for the past few years. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Education from Fresno Pacific University and taught third grade at Maple School for many years prior to retirement. Lana was a gifted singer and pianist. They were in the pastoral ministry for many years, as well. She was a great support to her family and was known for her mothering spirit. She was firmly dedicated to her Christian faith. Lana will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lana is survived by daughter, Roberta Talley; granddaughter, Janette McDougall; sister, Nita Bailey and husband, Johnny; brother Terry Maggard and wife, Joyce; and numerous loving family and friends.

Lana was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Ernie Uhles; and her son, Eddy Uhles.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Water House Church, Weatherford Texas, on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 1:00 PM.
