Larry Parr Ingle

Larry Parr Ingle, born November 20, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away January 29, 2023, at Weatherford Medical Center in Weatherford, Texas, at the age of seventy-four. Larry grew up in Corpus Christi and attended W.B. Ray High School and Del Mar College. He later received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, a Master of Arts degree, and a Master of Fine Arts degree at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. After completing his education, he worked in display advertising at The Daily Sentinel and Lufkin Daily News for over twenty years and then taught high school art for several years. Larry was a talented artist, creating many impressive works of art in the areas of drawing; oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting; sculpture; and photography. Larry was actively involved as a follower of Jesus and began his church attendance at Grace Bible Church in Nacogdoches, Texas. After moving to Lufkin, Texas, he attended Believers’ Bible Church where he served as deacon and did many projects for the church including building a pastor’s lectern and a wheel to spin for activities at AWANA. He later attended Harmony Hill Baptist Church.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Frances Ingle; step-father, Gus Dugger; sister, Renai Baker; and granddaughter, Carmen Coddington.

Larry is survived by his children, Lana and David Coddington of Encinitas, California, Jay Ingle of Lufkin, Texas, Kevin Ingle of Lufkin, Texas, and Micah Ingle of Carrollton, Georgia; grandchildren, Nicholas and Sarah Ingle of Fort Hood, Texas, Lauren Coddington of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Hope Coddington of Encinitas, California; brother-in-law, Michael Baker of Corpus Christi, Texas; and nephew, Brian and Barbara Baker of Houston, Texas.
