Larry Bradford Young

  Larry Bradford Young, also known as L.B. Young, born June 6, 1946, in Grapevine, Texas, died on June 15, 2024. Preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Loucille Young. Survived by daughters, Cheryl Timms, Debra Tabor, Jessica Shackelford, April Vandepass, and only son, Terry Conner; grandchildren, Dana Foux, Patricia Timms, Tiffany Wilting, Kyle Tabor, Malorie Tabor, Dillon Shackelford, Luke and Jake Hancock, James and Sean Vandepass, Jessyln Stedman, and Teja Cooper; great grandchildren, Austin Timms, Ximena Cynthia and Harley Quinn Martinez, and Sophia Foux; brother, Rocky Young; and sister; Monica Young.

  Larry worked as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for over 50 years. He also had his pilot license to fly single engine airplanes. He loved flying, as well as playing his guitar, singing, and writing songs. He had such a passion for helping others no matter what it was; he was a man of God. He loved the Lord and had no problem asking others if they knew him. Larry was a praying man and saw that his children and grandchildren knew the Lord.

  Larry always had a cigar hanging out of his mouth. He was a big prankster who loved making those around him laugh, but most of all he was always there for his family whom he loved unconditionally. He was a hero to us all.

  The visitation in memory of Larry will take place on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N Elm St, Weatherford, Texas. A graveside service will follow on Friday, June 21, 2024, starting at 2:00 p.m., at the Parker Memorial Cemetery, in Grapevine, Texas.
