Laura C. Nice

Laura C Nice, 98, of Weatherford, passed away on Monday August 29, 2011. Born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania to William and Laura Mowery, Mrs. Nice was one of 18 children. She was a resident of Parker County since 1987 where she was a homemaker and a loving caregiver to all family and friends. Preceding her in death are her husband Wardner, and 16 siblings.

Survived by:  daughters, Barbara Cubbler and husband Ralph of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Laura Shakespeare and husband Don of Parksburg, Pennsylvania; son, Wardner (Bud) Nice Jr. and wife Ruth of Weatherford; brother, John Mowery and wife Helen of New Oxford, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service; 2 PM Friday, September 2, 2011 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation; 7 to 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
