Laura Corley Tyra

Laura Corley Tyra, 69, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones on May 12, 2015. Laura is survived by her loving husband Guy J. Tyra of Hudson Oaks, children Danna McCook Luter of Fort Worth, Clay McCook and wife Tessa of Arlington, Keith McCook and wife Kristina of Dallas, stepson Timmy Tyra and wife Jennifer of Covington, stepson, Tim Haggard, grandchildren. Danielle Mitchell and husband Justin, Gabrielle, Landry, Aidan, Sophia, Ava Kate, Cody, Ethan, Rachel, Justin and two Great grandsons Justin Jr. and Jacob, Sister Joyce Pate and husband James, sister Linda Edwards and husband Cliff and numerous nieces and nephews. Laura was born in New Boston, Texas on April 25, 1946. She has lived in the Metroplex area for over 47 years. Laura worked many years for TXDOT as a receptionist. Laura loved spending time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, traveling and serving in numerous social clubs. Laura had a generous spirit and a loving heart. She will be missed by all those that love her. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Shriners Children's Hospital, a cause she tirelessly supported.

Funeral: 10 am Thursday, May 14, 2015 at First United Methodist Church In Weatherford. Interment: Friday at 1pm in Read Hill Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 pm Wednesday at Galbreaith Pickard.
