Laura Lynn Lucia

Laura “Lynn” Lucia, 67, of Brock Texas, was called home on Thursday, June 26, 2014 after a nine month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. 
Lynn was born on January 22, 1947 in Phoenix, Arizona. She moved to Weatherford Texas in 1969, where she raised her family. Lynn was strong in her faith and devoted her entire life to helping and loving others.  Lynn adored her pets, especially her many adopted stray dogs and horses. Lynn was an amazingly kind person with a soft heart.  She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and sister. Lynn was diagnosed with AML on September 17, 2013.
She was preceeded in death by her mother, Barbara Elaine Pullins ;  and her father Gerald Urpschotch, stepfather, William Bennett, stepmother, Lynn Bennett and brother, William Allen Bennett.
Lynn is survived by her two sons, Tommy Joe and wife Donna Lucia, Josh Lucia; her sister Diana Bennett; her grandchildren Halston Lucia, Brooklynn Lucia, Nick Lucia, Baylee Lucia, and Chase Lucia and many loving nieces and nephews.
Lynn’s strong faith, unconditional love for her family and beautiful warm smile will forever live in the hearts of us all.

A celebration of Lynn’s life will be shared at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Fairview Cemetery, Millsap, Texas.  Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm prior to the service at Funeral Home
