Lawrence Ivan Prichard

Ivan Prichard, 102, passed away Feb.10, 2009 at Holland Lake Nursing Center where he was a resident for the past eight years.  Ivan was born Aug.24, 1906 in Parker County where he lived his entire life. He owned and operated Prichard Grocery on the South East corner of the square during the 1940’s and early 1950’s and was later employed with WISD for many years.  Ivan was a life long member of Bethel United Methodist Church where he was song leader for 58 years.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Lois Narry Prichard.  Ivan is survived by four nephews, John Galbreaith of Dallas, Bill Prichard of Weatherford, W. D. Farris of Arlington and Don Farris of Dallas.  Funeral services will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM, Friday Feb.13 with burial at Bethel Cemetery.
