Lawrence Philip McBryde

L.P. McBryde, Age 83, a longtime resident of Poolville, died Thursday, August 03, 2006. Lawrence Philip McBryde was born in Dallas, TX on May 21, 1923 to Effie and Oclad McBryde. He was a member of Gibtown Baptist Church and was retired from Bell Helicopter. Preceding him in death are his parents, his brother Earl, his brother Cecil, and his granddaughter, Shawna Fullwood.   

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Dumis McBryde, his daughter Janice Fullwood and her husband Travis of Tucson Arizona, and his son Larry and his wife Jan of Flower Mound, TX.  He has five grandchildren, Ashley Hughes and her husband Keala of Riverside California, Kim McBryde of Lewisville, Ryan McBryde of Flower Mound and Jeff McBryde of Fort Worth.  He is also survived by one brother Henry McBryde and his wife Dorothy of North Richland Hills, two sisters Joyce Moore and her husband R.D. of Sweetwater, Joy Cantrell and her husband Nolan of Weatherford, his sister-in-law Ivanell McBryde of Azle and his brother-in-law Joe Osborne and his wife Mary Jo of Abbeville, Louisiana as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.    

Funeral services will be held at  10:00 AM Saturday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with Reverend Don Dobbs officiating.  Burial will follow at the Poolville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the L.P. McBryde Youth Fund at Gibtown Baptist Church.
