Lee Roy Ray

Lee Roy Ray, 74, of Weatherford passed away Thursday, March 31st, 2016, after a long battle with cancer.  Lee Roy was born on September 18th, 1941 in Weatherford to M.W. & Willie Ray.  Lee Roy retired from Mrs. Baird’s bakery after many years of service.  He made lifelong relationships during his routes.   He was an avid hunter and fisherman but one of the true passions in his life was serving at Calvary Baptist Church.  He became a Deacon on April 3rd, 2011 and it was one of his proudest moments. Lee Roy was preceded in death by his parents, brother Don Ray, and his brother in law Jim Conklin. Survivors include his wife of 53 years: Mary Lou; sons, Bregg Ray and wife Irien and Chad Ray and wife Renni; grandchildren, Chase Ray, Chelsi Ray and Chandler Ray; sisters, Bobbie Conklin, Vevelean Devrow and husband Tommy, Evelyn Keele and husband Harlan and Valerie Meador and husband Jeff; many other family members and friends.

Funeral Service:  10:00 AM, Monday, April 4, 2016 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas. Visitation: 4-6 PM, Sunday, April 3rd at the funeral home.
