Leona Fideles Romenesko Wade, age 74, departed from this life on Friday, March 15, 2024. She first opened her eyes to the world on April 18, 1949, in Havre, Montana, being welcomed by her mother, Velma Romenesko. Her formative years were on a ranch outside of Fort Benton, Montana, where she was raised.
Leona leaves behind her devoted husband of 53 years, Donald D. Wade, who resides in Willow Park, Texas, and is an esteemed member of New River Fellowship. Her legacy continues through her daughter, Amy Wade; grandchildren, Rob and wife, Nikii LaSoya, Benjamin Schwarz, Kyli Wade, and Caitlyn Wade; as well as her cherished sister, Barbara Barker.
Music resonated deeply with Leona's soul; she found joy in strumming the guitar and relishing the freedom of riding on the back of Donald's Harley-Davidson. Together they crafted cherished memories during their ventures to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. Professionally, Leona dedicated 23 years to Lockheed Martin before embracing retirement and immersing herself in quality time with her beloved grandchildren.
Leona was met in peace by her mother, Velma Romenesko; sons, Donald Michael Wade, Shawn Steven Wade, and John Kevin Wade; granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth Wade; and brother, Jimmy Romenesko.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, in Willow Park, Texas, officiated by Pastor Joey Willis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
