Leonard Newberry

Leonard M. Newberry, 87, of Weatherford, died early Sunday morning, September 21, 2008 in a local nursing facility.  Born February 12, 1921 in the Newberry Community, a resident of Parker County all his life. Leonard was a barber, farmer, owner of Newberry’s Barber Shop from 1947 to 2005, member of the New Cumberland Presbyterian.  He was a Army Veteran of World War II where he served as a paratrooper. Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Frances Newberry, daughter, Debbie Lou Eubanks, one sister, two brothers and one granddaughter. Survivors: Sons – Tommy Newberry and wife, Debbie of Millsap, Rod Newberry and wife, Glenda of Weatherford, Son-in-law – Larry Eubank of Weatherford, Brother – Douglas Newberry of Millsap, 7 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild.  Funeral service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in the New Cumberland Presbyterian Church with interment in the   Newberry Cemetery.
