Leslie Ray "Les" Roberts

Leslie Ray “Les” Roberts, 52, of Irving passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, September 8, 2009.  He was born to Billy and Jean Roberts on September 19, 1956 in Weatherford.  He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1975.   He was a loving father, devoted brother and uncle as well as a true friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include daughter, Rachelle Roberts of Dallas; son, Brad Roberts of Del Ray Beach, Florida; sister, Beverly Gill and husband Bob of Weatherford; niece and great niece Shelly and Madison Mayfield of Weatherford; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including special friends, Sheron Marvin and Debbie Foster.

He resided in the Dallas area for many years where he enjoyed his business in road and utility construction.  He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, Nascar racing, reading and entertaining friends and family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday September 11, 2009 in the First Baptist Church of Weatherford with Bro. Tim McKeown officiating.  Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Thursday September 10, 2009 at the funeral home.
