Lester Lawrence Gutierrez

Lester Lawrence Gutierrez, 78, husband, father, and grandfather, of Weatherford, passed from this life early on Friday, October 29, 2021, in Weatherford.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Funeral services celebrating his life will follow at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date.

Lester was born on October 14, 1943, in Vaughn, New Mexico to Benny and Rosia Gutierrez. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He married Lucy Martinez on October 26, 2013. Lester was a member of both the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed watching horse racing, traveling and hunting. Lester never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Additionally, Lester will affectionately be remembered for his “Bigger than Life Personality” by his many friends.

Lester is survived by his wife, Lucy; his children, Lester Gutierrez, II (Linda) and Amanda Gutierrez; his grandchildren, Hayden and Haylee; step-grandchildren, Bianca, Jessie, Mia, Giavani, and Amber; his stepchildren, Janette Benefee, Michael Natal, and Cindy Natal; and by his siblings, Angel Gutierrez, Albert Gutierrez, and Mickey Sanchez.

In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded in death by several brother and sisters.
