On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, Leta LaVerne Justice, affectionately known as LaVerne, peacefully passed away at the age of 98. She graced this world on March 3, 1926, in Haskell, Texas, born to the late Marion Linville and Maggie (Scruggs) Linville.
LaVerne's professional journey led her to Southwestern Bell as a Telephone Operator; however, her true passion was evident in her role as a dedicated homemaker for her family. A pillar of strength within the North Main Church of Christ community, LaVerne will be remembered for her unwavering kindness and gentle grace. Cherishing moments with loved ones brought her pure joy, along with enjoying a game of Scrabble and finding solace in the pages of her Bible.
In addition to her parents and brothers, Donald, Dale, and Jack Linville, preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Paul M. Justice; sons, Mark and Greg Justice; as well as grandsons, Brian Hunt and Cody Lee Waller.
LaVerne's legacy remains alive through her adoring family: daughter, Pamela Waller and husband, Lee; sons, Terry Justice and wife, Kathy, and Alan Justice; along with twelve grandchildren who held a special place in her heart - April Dean, Lori Dunn, Amber Meeks, Christopher Justice, Carli Justice, Christina Davis, Richard Justice, Lacie Bennett, Velvet Moloney, Mark Shadden, Lauren Kile, and Markia Justice; and many precious great-grandchildren, and other loving family members.
The visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at the same location on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., followed by her interment at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford.
