Letha Louise Sewell

  Letha Louise Sewell, age 66, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, after a courageous eight-month battle with cancer. Letha was born June 27, 1957, in Weatherford, Texas, to Ernest and Clemetine Johnson. Letha was a devoted member of Maranatha Bible Fellowship, and a faithful member of the choir and praise team until the Lord called her home.

  Letha was so easy going. Her outlook on life was always positive, and her spirit was so beautiful and angelic. She had a vivacious smile that was as big as her heart and was comforting to anyone that she crossed paths with. The infectious laugh was incomparable. Letha would give the shirt off her back to a stranger and loved her family unconditionally. She was a retired Licensed Vocational Nurse that touched the lives of so many disabled children. Letha was a friend to everyone, and a stranger to none. She had many dear special friends, and extended family that she loved, laughed with, cried with, and prayed with. Letha was one of a kind, and the Lord has truly taken one of his best home.

  Those left to cherish her memories: daughters: Sherri Davis and Margaux (David) Cauthen; grandsons: Trevor Harris, Latarius Davis “LT”, and Braylen Hunter; sisters: Vivian Williams and Madeline (Willie) Brown; nephews: Reginald (Julie) Johnson, Damon (Leah) Johnson, Brandon (Ashley) Brown, and Derrick (Ella) Johnson; nieces: Deanna (Colby) Grant and Kenita (Bobby) Chandler; and a host of other relatives. Preceding her in death were her parents, Ernest and Clemetine Johnson; sister, Mary Perry; brother, Hall Johnson; and brother-in-law, James Williams.

  Visitation is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas, with the funeral service at the same location, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, in Weatherford, following the service.
