Lilie Lois Martin, 82, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 in the local hospital. She was born May 21, 1932 in Tulia TX to Finis & Gladys Ruland. Lilie was the 3rd oldest of 6 children. She was a graduate of Mineral Wells High School. Lilie was an artist, a fine carpenter, seamstress, an avid swimmer and great cook. She loved the cowboy lifestyle and one of her favorite things to do was watch her western shows. She was a Sunday school teacher for many decades. God was first and foremost in her life, she helped lead many people to Jesus Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Lilie is survived by her loving husband Mack Martin of 60 yrs. (March 18th); She was the mother to Mike Warren and wife Rhonda Warren of Quinlan TX, Blenda Dudley and husband Tony Dudley of Southmayd, TX and Lynn Martin of Mesquite TX; grandchildren, Ronny D Davidson of Slidell, LA, Nicki Atkinson and husband Bill Atkinson of Lake Tansi Village, TN, Jeremy Rutenschroer and wife Aston Rutenschroer of Weatherford, TX; other grandchildren, Jennifer Aydelotte, Kevin Fulton, Stephanie Fulton; nine great grandchildren; brother, Jim Charles Ruland and wife Earlene; sisters, Georgia Yates and husband Lowell and Gertrude Queen; dearest friend Debbie Rutenschroer.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Funeral service: 10:00 AM, Wednesday at Beulah Baptist Church with interment to follow at Curtis Cemetery.
