Lillian Carvel Horton Jones

Lillian Carvel Horton Jones, 95, passed away Monday, August 4, 2008 in a Fort Worth hospital.   Lillian was born July 3, 1913 in Britton, Texas to Samuel Shell and Sudie Elizabeth Elrod Raines.  She was a member of First Baptist Church Oak Ridge in Gainesville and a homemaker.  Her parents, a husband, one granddaughter and ten brothers and sisters preceded her in death.   Mrs. Jones is survived by a daughter, Pauline Bashaw and husband Wesley; sons, Vernon Horton and wife LaVerne, Arnold Horton and friend Jackie Huff, Wayne Horton and wife Carolyn and Waymond Horton and wife Glenda; 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  

Funeral: 10 A.M., Thursday at Spring Creek Baptist church.

Visitation is from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Galbreaith Pickard.

Burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery.
