Linda Carole Bethea

Linda Carole Bethea, age 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024. She was born on June 25, 1944, in Amherst, Texas, to Moss Howell and Hattie Bagwell Howell. 

A dedicated homemaker, Linda found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. As a devoted wife and mother, she lived a life rich with adventure and abundant love. Her warm and loving heart was a guiding light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Bethea; her parents, Moss and Hattie Howell; and her siblings, Suzy Bond, Karen Aldrich, Charles Howell, and Herbert Howell. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Terry Smith and wife, Andrea, Lana Smith, and Christopher "Chris" Smith and wife, Karry; grandchildren, James Willard, Sara Willard and husband, Shane, Tyler Smith, and Taryn Smith; great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Karson Morgan; siblings and their spouses, Jimmie Howell (Sue), Jack Howell (Charlene), Oran Howell (Barbara), John Howell (Collene), and Gayle Stovall (Melvin); numerous nieces and nephews; and her adopted grandkids, Kodye, Kayson, and Kenzie, and all her other adopted grandkids.

Although no formal services have been scheduled, all who knew and loved Linda are encouraged to celebrate the many beautiful memories she created. Her legacy of kindness and grace will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
