Linda Bishop Young

Linda Bishop Young, 78, passed from this life on Monday, February 27, 2023. Linda was born September 1, 1944, in Delhi, Louisiana to Walter Bishop and Carie (French) Bishop. Linda was a dedicated homemaker and wife to her late husband, Billy G. Young for 28 years, mother of four daughters, but her most beloved position was as “Grandma” and "GG" to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved spending time with and doting on. Linda leaves behind many memories to be cherished by those who loved her deeply.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Carie Bishop, and her husband, Billy G. Young.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Sheila Y. Moore and husband, Johnnie, Sandra G. Young, Shelley Bumguardner, and Sherry Y. Stevenson and husband, Joe; ten grandchildren, Steven, Christopher, Billy, Amanda, Shauna, Dodge, Sharlene, Autumn, Dillon, and Wyatt; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Dupree.

The funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 3, 2023, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Weatherford, Texas. Serving as pallbearers are Steven Harper, Christopher Harper, Dillon Burks, Wyatt Burks, Colten Harper, and Johnnie Moore.

Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, Weatherford, Texas.
